Bugs
Sansevieria kirkii pulchra (commonly named Coppertone) in a hand-made pot by local artist June Wong. Special care was needed to produce the exquisite crackling on this pot. Coppertone is a very rare and popular Sansevieria. It is relatively slow growing plant with beautifully mottled brown/dark brown leaves. This arrangement will cease to look like Bugs in a couple years when pups will inevitably grow out from the sides of the original (mother) plant. Sansevierias are great plants to have in the house. They have been shown to be particularly good air purifiers. They do will indoors (near a window) and are a great way to increase the amount of oxygen in the house. If kept indoors, water every month or so and keep in well draining soil. If kept outside and is rained on, do not water during rainy months. Water at most once a week when it's hot and dry. This plant can be propagated by leaf cuttings. If you decide to prune it, place the pruned leaves in pumice and they will eventually root and you will have a new plant to do with what you will.
